Giribaldi

Mario Giribaldi was founded at the beginning of the 20th century and has continued for three generations. Those were difficult times in the early 1900s and farming was not only one of the rare sources of sustenance but also a source of pride.

There are many factors that differentiate one vineyard from another, it is very important to know the land and farm it in the best way, according to its particular needs; each has its own timing, spaces, slopes, and degree of permeability…

The quality of the grapes that arrive in the cellar before the harvest is fundamental: from spring to autumn the climate reigns supreme and dictates the rules. Giribaldi cannot do anything other than follow the climatic times and organize the work accordingly to ensure that they always give the best to their vineyards, helping the fruit to grow and develop in the best possible way.

The cellar processes are traditional, with an eye to respecting tradition and therefore the experience handed down to them and with the use of modern machinery that is able to better respect and preserve the quality of the grapes.

They started cultivating our vineyards organically in 2001, obtaining the first certification in 2004 and this means they are among the first producers of organic wines in this area.

Hi-Lo currently carries the 2018 Barolo D.O.C.G.
