Via Caritatis

Heirs of exceptional history, Monks and Nuns of the Barroux Abbeys and Caritatis Winegrowers, have the joy of introducing the public to the memorial of the double wine heritage of which they are custodians: that of the oldest pontifical vineyard planted around 1309 by Pope Clement V on the lands of our Canton and that of the Monks-Vignerons, builders of the great vineyards of France.

The vineyard and its Via Caritatis wines want to remember this heritage. Discover an exceptional vineyard cultivated according to unique specifications in Provence. Above all, discover the deep Spirit that animates monks and winegrowers in this common work.

The President of the French Wine Academy, Jean-Robert Pitte, does them the honor of sponsoring this memorial to the monastic-pontifical wine heritage. The oenologist Philippe Cambie lends a hand with his talent and winemaking experience. Jean-Dominique Artaud, former head of cultivation at Domaine de la Janasse in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, lends his attentive advice for the vineyard, and Michel Trama, the famous master chef, offers his informed advice for food and wine pairings.

CARITATIS wines want to be ambassadors of the best in the history, wine, and terroir of Provence. Above all, they want to participate in the dissemination of a Spirit of Charity which is the true soil of their birth.
